The Bollywood actress has made a luxury property investment near her mother-in-law’s house in Bandra, Mumbai.
Bollywood star Deepika Padukone has purchased a luxury apartment in Bandra, Mumbai, shortly after the birth of her first child with actor Ranveer Singh.
The couple welcomed a baby girl on 8th September 2024, and Deepika has now invested in a property worth $2.1 million in one of Mumbai’s most sought-after areas.
The apartment, located on the 15th floor of the Sagar Resham Co-operative Housing Society, offers panoramic sea views and is next to Ranveer Singh’s mother, Anju Bhavnani’s, residence.
According to property documents, Deepika’s firm KA Enterprises LLP, co-owned with her father Prakash Padukone, finalised the deal after paying a stamp duty of $127,000 and a registration fee of $355.
In a related move, Ranveer Singh’s mother, Anju Bhavnani, also acquired an adjacent apartment worth $2.3 million earlier this month.
Additionally, Ranveer Singh’s company has leased another property near his mother’s home for $9,750 per month.
Celebrities like Aamir Khan, Tripti Dimri, and K.L. Rahul are also residents in the area, making it a hotspot for Bollywood stars.
Deepika and Ranveer, who married in 2018 in an intimate ceremony in Italy, had announced earlier this year that they were expecting their first child in September.
The couple is now enjoying their time as new parents while expanding their property portfolio.
Earlier this month, the couple welcomed their first child, a baby girl, on 8th September.
The couple announced with a heartwarming Instagram post, simply captioned, “Welcome baby girl.”
According to reports, the new parents have opted for a traditional parenting approach.
Rather than hiring a nanny, Deepika and Ranveer are said to prefer caring for their newborn themselves.
This decision mirrors that of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who similarly chose to not hire a nanny for her child.
Sources further suggest that the couple may follow in the footsteps of other celebrity parents like Alia Bhatt and Virat Kohli, choosing to shield their daughter from the media by not revealing her face publicly and possibly implementing a ‘no paparazzi’ policy.
