Dubai Public Prosecution has responded to what is being circulated on social media platforms regarding the allegations made by Mrs. RH, a Gulf citizen, with respect to the legal procedures taken against her in Dubai.
Dubai Public Prosecution stated that investigations showed that the aforementioned woman was arrested while drunk and causing riot in a public place after assaulting Dubai Police agents and directing obscene words at them, while they were performing their duties.
Based on this, Dubai Public Prosecution ordered that she and the criminal case be referred to Dubai Criminal Court for the case to be adjudicated.
The Public Prosecution pointed out that the rule of law is something that cannot be compromised or violated and that the provisions of the law are applied in Dubai to citizens and residents without discrimination.
It stressed that anyone who dares to violate the law will be held accountable, while the rule of law remains the criterion and the main reference for the rights and duties of those living in Dubai or visiting it.
