Temperature likely to rise in next two days, predicts NCM

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) expects a rise in temperatures on Thursday and Friday due to the extension of a surface high-pressure system from the west, accompanied by an upper-level high-pressure system.

The NCM predicts that Thursday’s weather will be generally clear and partly cloudy at times, with rising temperatures.

Winds will be southeasterly to northeasterly, light to moderate, with speeds ranging from 10 to 20 kilometres/h, amounting to 30 kilometres/h and the sea will be calm in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.

The NCM indicates that Friday’s weather will be clear to partly cloudy, with a further rise in temperatures and winds will be southeasterly to northeasterly, light to moderate, occasionally active during the day and stirring up dust, with speed ranging from 10 to 25 kilometres/h, amounting up to 35 kilometres/h and the sea will be calm in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.

The NCM expects Saturday’s weather to be generally clear, with clouds appearing in the east during the day, becoming cloudy in the west at night, and a chance of light rains on the islands on Sunday morning.

Winds will be southeasterly to northeasterly, light to moderate, turning into northwesterly moderate to active at times in the west on Sunday morning, with speed ranging from 10 to 25 kilometres/h, amounting to 40 kilometres/h and the sea will be light to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and light in the Sea of Oman.

Sunday’s weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy at times in some areas, with a chance of light rains and a noticeable drop in temperatures in the west, while it will be humid at night and on Monday morning in some inland areas, the NCM stated, indicating that winds will be southeasterly, turning into northwesterly, moderate to active, and occasionally strong over the sea, stirring up dust on land, with speed ranging from 15 to 25 kilometres/h, amounting to 45 kilometres/h. The sea, according to the NCM, will be moderate to rough in the Arabian Gulf and light to moderate in the Sea of Oman.
