EFG Hermes, a leading investment bank in Frontier and Emerging Markets (FEM), has announced the appointment of Christopher Laing as its new Global Head of Equity Capital Markets (ECM), effective immediately.
Based in Dubai, Laing will be responsible for driving the growth of the firm’s ECM franchise, expanding its capabilities, and reinforcing its position as a top advisor in the region. The strategic hire underscores EFG Hermes’ commitment to bolstering its investment banking division with seasoned global talent.
Laing brings three decades of extensive investment banking expertise to the role, having held senior ECM positions at global giants HSBC and Deutsche Bank. His track record includes leading numerous landmark transactions across both emerging and developed markets.
