Dubai: The UAE is set to host one of the world’s largest aviation events as Dubai Airshow 2025 opens its doors tomorrow, bringing together groundbreaking innovations across aviation, space, and defence.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, announced that this year’s edition will welcome participants from 115 countries, 490 civilian and military delegations, and nearly 150,000 visitors, marking the largest event in the Airshow’s history.
On his official X account, Sheikh Mohammed said the Dubai Airshow will showcase more than 200 state-of-the-art aircraft, representing both civil and military sectors, alongside the latest advancements in airport systems and aviation technology.
He added that the event will feature a dedicated space technology exhibition and conference, underscoring the UAE’s growing role in global space exploration.
“We welcome all visiting delegations and take pride in hosting the biggest edition of the Dubai Airshow,” Sheikh Mohammed said. “The UAE has become a major global hub for aviation and a leading platform for international cooperation.”
Sustainability Takes Centre Stage at Dubai Airshow 2025
The 19th edition of the Dubai Airshow places sustainability at the forefront, aligning with global efforts to shape a net-zero future for aviation.
The show will unite top industry players—Dubai Airports, Airbus, Boeing, the World Economic Forum, Airports Council International, and the UAE’s General Civil Aviation Authority—to accelerate the adoption of green aviation solutions.
Key discussions will focus on:
- Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF)
- Energy transition strategies
- Low-carbon policy frameworks
- Financing mechanisms for decarbonisation
A major highlight is the launch of the oneDXB Sustainability Alliance, led by Dubai Airports with support from dnata and flydubai. The initiative will feature a live demonstration of a fully sustainable airport ground turnaround, showcasing real-time coordination between airlines, ground handlers, and service providers at DXB and DWC.
