The defence giant showcases its expanding portfolio, underscoring the UAE’s ambitions as a global hub for advanced military manufacturing.
ABU DHABI, 16th November, 2025 (WAM) – Calidus Holding Group is poised to unveil a suite of new defence technologies, including a never-before-seen missile system, at the Dubai Airshow 2025, reinforcing the UAE’s growing stature in the global defence industry.
The company, a leading Emirati defence and manufacturing firm, will use the event—running from November 17-21 at Dubai World Central (DWC)—as a platform to demonstrate its latest integrated solutions and advanced capabilities.
A key highlight of Calidus’s display is the public debut of the “AlDeraa,” an advanced short-range air defence system engineered to neutralize a wide array of aerial threats, including drones. This new system bolsters the company’s reputation for developing cutting-edge protection solutions for modern battlefields.
The exhibition will also feature several other flagship products, including the Badr-250 (B-250) light attack aircraft—noted as the first in its class with a mission-specific carbon fibre design—alongside its trainer variant (B-250T), and the 8×8 Light Infantry Fighting Vehicle in an Air Defence configuration. The “AlHeda” missile system will also be on display.
Leadership Highlights Strategic National Vision
In statements, Calidus leadership framed the participation as a milestone for the national defence sector.
Tareq Abdul Rahim Al Hosani, Chairman of Calidus Holding Group, stated that their showcase goes beyond mere platform displays. “It demonstrates our capacity to drive transformation in the defence sector and translate the national vision into an advanced industrial reality,” he said, emphasizing the role of local investment and technological innovation.
Echoing this sentiment, Dr. Khalifa Murad Alblooshi, Managing Director and CEO of Calidus, highlighted the Airshow’s role in boosting the UAE’s export potential and industrial standing. “With each edition, Dubai Airshow continues to reinforce the UAE’s position as a global centre for advanced defence and aerospace industries,” he said.
Since its establishment in 2015, Calidus has cemented its role as a cornerstone of the UAE’s defence manufacturing landscape. The company reiterated its commitment to building an integrated defence ecosystem through strategic partnerships, aiming to deliver reliable and operationally flexible solutions to partners worldwide.
