Scheduled to open in September 2027, the state-of-the-art campus aims to set a new benchmark for innovative, wellbeing-focused education in line with Dubai’s KHDA vision.
DUBAI, UAE – Marking a significant expansion of educational options in Dubailand, Nalapad Investments and MVK Holdings have broken ground on their latest project, the Chrysalis International Academy. The groundbreaking ceremony, held at the school’s site in Liwan 2, signals a major step towards addressing the growing demand for premium British curriculum education in Dubai’s emerging residential communities.
The new academy, slated to open its doors in September 2027, will cater to students from Foundation Stage 1 through to Year 13, offering a pathway to IGCSEs and A-Levels. The project is the third educational venture for the partnership, which also operates Credence High School and is developing Crayons Nursery.
The ceremony was attended by Abdulla Khalifa Belhoul, CEO of TECOM Group, alongside government officials, education leaders, and investors, underscoring the project’s alignment with the Knowledge and Human Development Authority’s (KHDA) Education 2033 vision to position Dubai as a global hub for education and innovation.

He emphasized that the institution aims to be a “symbol of excellence and happiness,” thanking the KHDA for their guidance.
Echoing this sentiment, Sameer K Mohamed, Managing Director of MVK Holdings, highlighted the modern expectations of families. “Families today seek more than just strong academics. They want a school where their children feel safe, valued, inspired, and genuinely happy,” he said. “Our vision is to create an academy where students thrive emotionally, socially, physically, and intellectually.”
Academically, the school will follow the National Curriculum for England, enriched with STEAM education, Arabic and Islamic Studies. Instruction will be led by a team of highly qualified UK educators, with a strong focus on parent partnerships and student wellbeing integrated into every aspect of the learning environment.
With its planned opening in September 2027, Chrysalis International Academy positions itself as a key player in serving the families of Dubailand and Liwan, offering a safe, inclusive, and inspiring environment for the next generation.
