Winners share stories of giving back as UAE Lottery surpasses Dh175 million in total prizes, with funds supporting students, orphaned children, and communities in need
SHARJAH — For some UAE Lottery winners, the moment of victory is not just about personal celebration—it is an opportunity to give back. From funding education for underprivileged students to supporting orphanages and helping those in need back home, winners are using their prize money to make a meaningful difference.
In a new social media reel released by the UAE Lottery, winners opened up about how they plan to channel their winnings toward charitable causes, reflecting a growing culture of responsibility and gratitude among participants.
Supporting Education and Community
Ananth Perumalsamy, a Dh1 million winner originally from Tamil Nadu, India, said his priority is to help students in his hometown who lack the means to continue their education.
“I plan to support students in my hometown who don’t have the means to continue their education. I want to use part of my winnings to help them,” Perumalsamy shared.
Another winner, Ahmed Kabeer, also from India, said he has divided his prize money into three distinct portions.
“I plan to divide the prize money into three parts. The first will support people in need, the second will help care for orphaned children, and the third will be used to grow my business,” Kabeer said.
A Legacy of Generosity
The stories offer a different perspective on lottery winnings—one focused not only on personal gain but also on responsibility and community impact.
This mindset was evident in October 2025, when Anilkumar Bolla won the historic Dh100 million Grand Prize. Beyond the life-changing moment, Bolla spoke about his intention to support charitable causes.
“I believe that donations will reach the people who really require the money. That gives me core happiness,” Bolla said at the time, demonstrating how a single win can create a ripple effect of positive change.
Dh175 Million and Counting
Since its launch, the UAE Lottery has awarded more than Dh175 million in prizes to players across the country, creating moments of excitement while fostering a sense of gratitude among winners.
The lottery continues to offer regular opportunities for participants, with Lucky Day featuring a weekly draw every Saturday, a grand prize of Dh30 million, a second prize of Dh5 million, and three guaranteed Dh100,000 winners each week through Lucky Chance.
For many winners, however, the true value of the prize lies not in what they keep for themselves, but in what they are able to give away.
