ABU DHABI — Five individuals of Indian nationality sustained minor to moderate injuries following the fall of missile debris in Abu Dhabi, authorities confirmed on Saturday. The incident also sparked two fires in the vicinity of the Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi – Kezad areas.
The Abu Dhabi Media Office said the debris fell after air defences successfully intercepted a ballistic missile. Emergency response teams are currently handling the two fires that broke out in the area.
“Authorities are handling two incidents of fires that broke out in the vicinity of the Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi – Kezad areas,” the media office stated, adding that the fires resulted from falling debris following the successful interception of a ballistic missile by air defences.
Injuries Confirmed
The authorities confirmed that five individuals of Indian nationality sustained injuries ranging from moderate to minor as a result of the incident. Medical teams are providing necessary care to those affected.
