Your daily horoscope: April 4, 2026

IF TODAY IS YOUR BIRTHDAY

There will be no big breakthroughs over the coming year but there will be a succession of smaller developments that eventually add up to something worth having. Start each day with a smile on your face and a song in your heart.

IF TODAY IS YOUR BIRTHDAY

The sun influence this weekend warns that if you give an inch other people will take the opportunity to grab a mile, so try not to be so generous with your time and your money. Always take care of your own needs first.

ARIES (March 21 – April 20):

Keep your eye on the bigger picture this weekend but don’t neglect the details. The planets warn you need to get the balance right between believing everything will come good in the end and taking practical steps to make sure that occurs.

TAURUS (April 21 – May 21):

If a rival tries to make life difficult for you this weekend your best course of action by far is to put some distance between you. You are under no obligation to stay within earshot if they are saying things about you that are likely to hurt.

GEMINI (May 22 – June 21):

What occurs this weekend will remind you how important it is to fight your corner. You may be sensitive by nature but that is not an excuse to back away from confrontation. Show the world you can take criticism and give it back.

CANCER (June 22 – July 23):

If you give in over something trivial this weekend you will encourage others to try it on again and again. Even if you don’t really care about who is right and who is wrong you must pretend that you do. Don’t let them think you are weak.

LEO (July 24 – Aug. 23):

It’s time to draw a line on the past and put all the bad things that went before out of your mind once and for all. What’s done is done and cannot be undone, so look ahead and focus on how you can make tomorrow a much better day.

VIRGO (Aug. 24 – Sept. 23):

You may be tempted to bring a project to a conclusion by rushing the last few steps but that would be a mistake. The sun at odds with Jupiter warns that moving too fast and doing too much could end in disappointment, maybe even disaster.

LIBRA (Sept. 24 – Oct. 23):

A long-term outlook is a must this weekend, especially if you are about to invest a large sum of money in a creative project of some kind. Don’t expect it to come right and start making a profit straight away. You’ve got to be patient.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24 – Nov. 22):

You cannot afford to be reckless this weekend, even if you feel confident that now is the time to push ahead on the work front and get things done. The bull-in-a-china-shop approach is more likely to make you enemies than allies.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 23 – Dec. 21):

What occurs over the next 48 hours will bring a partnership matter to a swift conclusion. It was good of you to be patient and give it one more try but deep down you already knew that a parting of the ways was inevitable.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22 – Jan. 20):

If someone you work with gives you the runaround this weekend don’t waste your time complaining or trying to convince them that they are being unreasonable. Only the ultimate sanction will do: Tell them your relationship is over, and mean it.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 21 – Feb. 19):

Don’t worry too much if a creative or artistic endeavor gets stuck this weekend, because it is only a temporary blip and by the start of next week you will be moving ahead with it again. The only enemy you have is your own impatience.
