This union comes amidst swirling rumors surrounding Shoaib Malik’s relationship with former Indian tennis star Sania Mirza. Just a few days ago, on Wednesday, Sania Mirza shared a cryptic post on her social media, sparking speculations and fueling rumors of potential turbulence in her marriage with the cricket icon. “Marriage is hard. Divorce is hard. Choose your hard. Obesity is hard. Being fit is hard. Choose your hard. Being in debt is hard. Being financially disciplined is hard. Choose your hard. Communication is hard. Not communicating is hard. Choose your hard. Life will never be easy. It will always be hard. But we can choose our hard. Pick wisely (sic),” reads the quote Sania shared on her Instagram story.
While the meaning behind Sania Mirza’s words remains open to interpretation, it has undeniably stirred the curiosity of fans and media alike. As the social media grapevine buzzed with speculation, Shoaib Malik’s marriage to Sana Javed has added a fresh layer to the narrative.
Sania Mirza, one of India’s greatest tennis players ever has announced her retirement last year.
In a glittering career that spanned 20 years, where she won 43 WTA doubles titles and one singles trophy, Sania was seen as a trailblazer for women in sport. She recently added another chapter to that book by donning the hat of mentor to the Royal Challengers Bangalore franchise in the Women’s Premier League.
The 37-year-old, who turned professional in 2003, has six Grand Slam titles to her credit, including three women’s doubles with Swiss legend Martina Hingis. She also won two of her three mixed doubles titles with compatriot Mahesh Bhupathi and rounded off her trophy cabinet with a US Open title with Bruno Soares.
Shoaib Malik still plays the T20 cricket around the globe and has not retired from the game’s shortest format.
