New HR law aims to strengthen work-life balance and family stability
Ajman: The Ajman Executive Council has approved the general principles for a new Human Resources Law that will introduce flexible working hours, remote work options, and expanded family-friendly leave for government employees. The council is chaired by Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Executive Council.
Flexible work model introduced
Under the updated framework, employees will be able to benefit from flexible working hours and remote work opportunities. The policy aims to enhance productivity, improve employee well-being, and support modern workplace needs.
Expanded family and caregiving leave
The new HR Law includes a comprehensive system of family-focused leave entitlements such as maternity, paternity, parental, marriage, and bereavement leave. It also introduces caregiving leave specifically for people of determination and their families.
Additional support for parents and caregivers
Expectant employees and those raising five or more children will receive extra flexibility in work hours. The initiative reinforces Ajman’s commitment to fostering a balanced, inclusive, and supportive work environment for its government workforce.
