Allu Arjun arrested over fatal stampede at Pushpa 2 premiere

Allu Arjun is set to appear before a magistrate today following his arrest.

Hyderabad Police have arrested popular Telugu film star Allu Arjun in connection with a tragic incident during the premiere of his latest film Pushpa 2.

The incident, which occurred on December 4, led to a stampede at the theater, resulting in the death of a 39-year-old woman and serious injuries to her son.

Following the incident, a case was filed by the police against the theater management, Allu Arjun, and his security team.

Authorities revealed that they had not been informed in advance about the presence of the actor and his team at the event, which is believed to have contributed to the chaos.

Deputy Commissioner of Police, Central Zone, Akhilesh Yadav, confirmed that a case under Sections 105 and 118 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) had been registered based on the victim family’s complaint.

He further stated that investigations are underway, and strict legal actions will be pursued against those found responsible.

The actor has been arrested and is set to appear before a magistrate later today.

The police investigation is still ongoing, and authorities are committed to taking appropriate legal steps in response to the incident.
