Non-custodial exchange opens doors at Convention Tower, DWTC, aiming to convert regional partners and developers into long-term allies beyond the digital realm.
Dubai, UAE – ChangeNOW, a non-custodial cryptocurrency exchange, has officially opened its new regional headquarters in Dubai’s Convention Tower at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC). The move marks a strategic pivot for the platform, shifting from a purely digital service to a physical presence designed to deepen ties with local partners and developers.
The expansion comes as the Middle East positions itself as a global digital asset hub, distinguished by advanced infrastructure and evolving regulatory clarity. While much of the global economy remains volatile, ChangeNOW is betting that the region’s focus on blockchain innovation offers a stable foundation for long-term growth.
By establishing a physical base in Dubai, the company aims to move beyond screen-based interactions and build face-to-face trust. The office is intended to serve as a collaborative space for entrepreneurs, crypto enthusiasts, and integration partners, directly supporting the platform’s rapid transaction ecosystem—which spans over 110 blockchains and more than 1,500 assets.
Leadership perspective
Pauline Shangett, Chief Strategy Officer at ChangeNOW, framed the move as a commitment to the region’s resilience.
“True leadership is forged in challenging times. While the region navigates current complexities, ChangeNOW is here to provide the partnership it deserves,” Shangett said. “We trust in the people, technology, and spirit of the UAE. Establishing this office is our commitment to cementing this region as the world’s primary hub for digital innovation.”
Beyond the hype
Unlike many crypto firms that pursue superficial “hub” labels, ChangeNOW says its Dubai office is about permanence. The company, which has served over 8 million users globally since its 2017 launch, operates as a non-custodial platform—meaning it never holds customer funds. With support for more than 70 fiat currencies, it remains a widely used gateway into decentralized finance.
The new headquarters is expected to function as a landing pad for regional developers and partners, facilitating direct discussions on integrations, asset listings, and the future of non-custodial trading.
Local impact
Beyond business development, ChangeNOW signaled its intention to become a local employer and a contributor to the UAE’s technology ecosystem, reinforcing its long-term strategic shift toward the Middle East.
