Abu Dhabi Family and Civil and Administrative Affairs Court ordered two men to pay Dhs234,000 to a person, along with a fine of Dhs10,000, after they defrauded him through a fictitious project.
The victim filed a lawsuit against the two suspects, demanding they jointly pay him Dhs234,000, the amount they seized under the pretext of investing his money in a project which turned out to be fake.
The Criminal Court convicted them of fraudulently seizing funds and ordered them to pay the victim Dhs234,000. Additionally, the court ordered the two appellees to pay Dhs10,000 as compensation for the material and moral damages incurred by the victim.
