ABU DHABI, (Dubai News) — The National Media Council, NMC, and the Emirates Foundation have signed a Memorandum of Understanding, MoU, to promote volunteerism and involve Takatof volunteers, one of the foundation’s programmes, in running the UAE pavilion at the Expo 2019 Beijing, in China.
The MoU aims to reflect the values of tolerance and the UAE‘s cultural and civilised values through the volunteers.
The MoU was signed by Dr Rashid Al Nuaimi, Commissioner-General of the UAE Pavilion at Beijing Expo, and Maytha Al Habsi, Chief Executive Officer of Emirates Foundation, at the foundation’s premises.
The memorandum aims to support and encourage volunteer work and focus on the participation of young leaders in the management and operation of the pavilion, which will contribute to the development of their abilities and the refinement of their skills to be ready to participate in Expo 2020 Dubai.
Expo 2020 Dubai will be held between 20th October 2020 and 10th April 2021. It will be the first Expo to be held in the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia.
