Eight weekly flights to begin February 2026, boosting Kerala-Saudi connectivity for travelers, pilgrims, and business.
Saudia, the national airline of Saudi Arabia, has announced the launch of direct flights between Kozhikode in Kerala and Riyadh, expanding its presence in the Indian market. The new route will commence on February 1, 2026, offering eight weekly flights in each direction.
The coastal city becomes Saudia’s seventh destination in India, alongside Bengaluru, Mumbai, Kochi, Delhi, Hyderabad, and Lucknow. The expansion is part of the airline’s strategy to broaden its international network, enhance global connectivity to the Kingdom, and optimize its modern fleet.
In a statement released on Thursday, Saudia highlighted that the move aims to serve growing demand for travel between Kerala and Saudi Arabia, particularly for tourism, business, and religious pilgrimage during Hajj and Umrah seasons.
Bookings for the Kozhikode-Riyadh route are now open through Saudia’s official website and mobile app. The airline is coordinating with Kozhikode International Airport authorities to finalize operational preparations ahead of the launch.
Saudia’s global network spans more than 100 destinations across four continents, operating over 550 daily flights. The addition of Kozhikode reinforces its commitment to strengthening ties with key travel markets and improving accessibility for Indian travelers.
