His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, directed the allocation of Dhs1 million, through the Sharjah Charitable Society, to complete the Hamda Taryam Mattar Taryam projects, which are based in Uganda.
This came during Sheikh Sultan’s visit to the funeral majlis in the Wasit suburb, where the Sharjah Ruler offered his condolences to the father of the deceased Taryam Mattar Taryam, and the entire Taryam family.
The deceased had many charitable projects in Uganda, and through the Hamda Foundation for Charitable Investments, she announced at the “Emirates Custom Show” exhibition, in March 2022, a project for a charitable development vocational institute in the Maska region of Uganda, which aims to qualify students professionally for the labour market.
The foundation trains orphan students and qualify them for the market for free, noting that the proceeds from the project go entirely to the humanitarian and charitable projects sponsored by the Foundation.
This charitable institute, which bears the name “Hamda Vocational and Social Institute,” is part of a group of humanitarian projects previously completed by the Foundation, and a continuation of the Taryam School project for orphans, which accommodates the education of 350 male and female students at all levels for free.
The Hamda Foundation also completed a non-profit hospital project in the city, and was able to operate the hospital on Nov.11, 2020, at a total cost exceeding Dhs800,000, as it treated about 300,000 patients free of charge, and performed 500,000 births.
