Hollywood star samples corndogs, Nutella-Biscoff pancakes with family; opens up about missing late co-star Andre Braugher
DUBAI – Terry Crews is no stranger to the UAE. But his latest visit came with extra toppings.
The ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’ star was spotted enjoying a casual family evening at Global Village, Dubai’s sprawling cultural and entertainment destination, sampling street food and soaking in the atmosphere with his wife and daughters.
A video posted by his daughter Tera Crews captures the Hollywood actor biting into a Jinju corndog with his signature arched eyebrows. “It’s pretty good,” he deadpans—a look that endeared him to millions across sitcoms like Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Everybody Hates Chris.
The corndog was just the opener. Crews also dug into a Nutella-Biscoff pancake garnished with strawberries, wearing his trademark nonplussed expression. His daughters opted for Birria tacos and Tanghulu—crispy sugar-coated fruit—while his wife chose crème brûlée.
The video also pans across the Palestine and India pavilions, offering a glimpse of Global Village’s signature international sprawl.
Dubai Homeowner
Crews is not merely passing through. In May last year, he signed for an apartment at Binghatti Aquarise in Business Bay during the project’s launch, joining a growing roster of celebrity homeowners in the emirate that includes Neymar Jr., Andrea Bocelli, and Aymeric Laporte.
Construction is scheduled for completion in March 2027.
‘We Didn’t Know’
During a recent visit to India, Crews opened up about the loss of his Brooklyn Nine-Nine co-star Andre Braugher, who died in December 2023 after a private battle with lung cancer.
Speaking to The Times of India, Crews revealed the cast was unaware of Braugher’s illness.
“We didn’t know that Andre Braugher was dealing with some illness and he was very quiet,” he said. “He was very silent. And we were all very sad when he passed away. He was the most wonderful person to all of us.”
The revelation offered a rare glimpse of grief beneath the comedy, reminding fans of the bond that made the show a global phenomenon.
