The UAE’s Federal Authority for Identity, Nationality, Customs, and Port Security has introduced a new service called the ‘One Touch Golden Visa,’ aimed at making the process of obtaining a Golden Residency Visa easier.
This comprehensive service includes assistance with visa applications, issuance of other visas, regularisation of status, and issuance of residency and identity documents, with the possibility of renewing all of these in a single step.
To apply for the Golden Visa, residents need to meet the specified requirements, which have recently become more accessible as the minimum monthly salary requirement has dropped from Dh50,000 to Dh30,000. Skilled professionals in disciplines such as medicine, sciences, engineering, information technology, business, administration, education, law, culture, and social sciences are now eligible for the long-term residency.
Once the eligibility criteria are met, residents can easily finalize their application by simply clicking a button on the ICP website. The announcement was made on the ICP’s official Instagram channel, with the authority encouraging eligible applicants to apply through the website or the smart application UAEICP.
