VIDEO: Abu Dhabi Police officers rescue a duck family from busy traffic

An emotive video of Abu Dhabi Police personnel stopping traffic to help a duck family move to safety has gone viral on social media platforms.

The video shows two patrol cars and two officers assisting the duck family to move off the road so that it doesn’t get crushed to death by moving traffic.

Fayaz Bin Ahmed, an Indian national living the UAE, captured the video.

Fayaz told Gulf Today he was travelling on a bus when he came across the touching scene near Pineapple Buildings in Abu Dhabi.

The video is a testament of UAE’s moral values that respects and protects life in any form.

Social media users were quick to praise the efforts of the Abu Dhabi Police personnel. 

Ebrahim Ali wrote, “The country of mercy, safety and humanity manifested here…”

Mustafa Mansoor said, “The country of mercy, humanity, security and peace…”

Omar Shabatat said, “May Allah have mercy on Sheikh Zayed and protect the Emirates, its elders and its people. The country of humanity and compassion.”

Hend Al Mashhor took to the funny side. She wrote, “The duck doesn’t know the way anymore .”

The UAE law prohibits the torture, abuse of any animal of living being. There is a hefty fine and jail term for violators.
