IF TODAY IS YOUR BIRTHDAY

The most important thing over the coming year is that you rely on your own ideas and your own ingenuity. Yes, of course, you should listen to what other people tell you, but there is precious little they can tell you that the inner you does not know already.

ARIES (March 21 – April 20):

Try not to make too big a fuss about something today or others may start wondering if you’ve got a guilty conscience. Saturn’s influence in the career area of your chart means there are people out there who would like nothing more than to see you squirm.

TAURUS (April 21 – May 21):

According to the planets you are not making nearly enough noise on the work front at the moment. If you want to get noticed – and you should – then you must find a way to raise your own voice above the verbal chaos that surrounds you.

GEMINI (May 22 – June 21):

Your best chance of success is to approach your objective from an unusual angle. If you telegraph your intentions it will make it easier for rivals to get in your way and block you from reaching your goal. Be smart and don’t let that happen.

CANCER (June 22 – July 23):

You may not want to hear what a friend or loved one tells you today but you know they are right and you know you must follow their advice. There is no point being stubborn just for the sake of your ego – your money situation matters more.

LEO (July 24 – Aug. 23):

It’s never easy for you to keep your opinions to yourself but the planets warn in no uncertain terms that if you open your mouth you will create all sorts of bad feeling. You don’t have to be critical Leo – you can just let it pass.

VIRGO (Aug. 24 – Sept. 23):

Try not to be quite so intense over the next 24 hours. Yesterday’s sun-Saturn link may have knocked your confidence a bit but it will pass and it won’t be long before you are back to your best, so lighten up and let the sunshine in.

LIBRA (Sept. 24 – Oct. 23):

A lot of people will be saying how much they love and respect each other today, but you may be reluctant to give your own feelings their head. Which does not mean you don’t have feelings, only that you would prefer not to make them known.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24 – Nov. 22):

Something that looked simple from a distance may turn out to be rather difficult when seen close up. Be that as it may you have the tools to make a success of it, so get stuck in and enjoy the flattering feedback when it is finally done.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 23 – Dec. 21):

Let someone know why you are not happy with them but do so in a way that does not turn them against you. You may have a right to be annoyed but there is no point making a scene of it. Criticize them in private, not in public.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22 – Jan. 20):

You have been trying too hard to please other people when you should be doing what pleases you. Make it your priority now to put your own needs first and give no thought to what others say you should be doing. Trust your instincts – and act.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 21 – Feb. 19):

If you turn on the charm between now and the weekend no one will be able to deny you. Both in your personal life and at work you will find it ridiculously easy to persuade people that their needs and your needs are one and the same.

PISCES (Feb. 20 – Mar. 20):

Try not to be too aggressive today. It may be necessary to get vocal about what needs to be done but there is a fine line between looking dynamic and looking despotic. Persuasion is always better than coercion, so talk your way to success.
