Hollywood, CA – The 98th Academy Awards concluded with a triumphant night for One Battle After Another, which took home the prestigious Best Picture award along with five other statues, solidifying its status as the evening’s biggest winner.
Paul Thomas Anderson secured the Best Director Oscar for his work on the film, which also earned awards for Best Adapted Screenplay and Best Supporting Actor for Sean Penn. The film’s comprehensive victory highlights its dominance across both creative and technical categories.
Close behind was Sinners, which claimed four Oscars, including a major win for Michael B. Jordan as Best Actor. Ryan Coogler also took home the award for Best Original Screenplay for the film.
In the acting categories, Jessie Buckley was awarded Best Actress for her performance in Hamnet, while Amy Madigan won Best Supporting Actress for her role in Weapons.
The international film category saw Norway’s Sentimental Value take the trophy, while Kpop Demon Hunters was named Best Animated Feature. The documentary prize went to Mr. Nobody Against Putin.
