Chinar Super League will be played in Sharjah on February 7th, 8th and 9th in which 16 teams will be participating.

Dubai, UAE, January 12, 2025 – Chinar Super League (CSL) is preparing for a monumental event as its iconic trophy embarks on a journey of over 10,300 kilometers, traveling across various cities between Dubai, Srinagar, Muzaffarabad, Islamabad and New Delhi.

During the unveiling of the event, Chinar Super League founder Chairman, Raja Asad Khalid, announced plans for CSL’s seventh season, expressing his delight at the league’s growing influence and its expanding role not only in sports but also in addressing environmental issues.

Raja Asad Khalid said, “Chinar Super League is not just a platform for sports; it’s a movement that brings people together for common causes. This season, we are not only extending our reach but also working on raising climate awareness and providing long-term solutions to environmental challenges. Our tree planting campaigns and environmental initiatives are part of our commitment to making CSL an institution that gives back to society.”

Chairman Raja Mohammad Ashiq Khan, Sponsors Raja Mohammad Khan, Sadiq Iqbal Abassi, Sardar Ayaz Khan, Asad Hashmi, Osama Jabar President Chinar Wing Amjad Kabir and Director Sports Chinar Super League Naqash Riaz flanked Raja Asad during the press conference and also spoke on the occasion.

The CSL trophy, a symbol of the spirit of the game, unity, and environmental commitment, will travel from Dubai to Srinagar via New Delhi and Dubai to Muzaffarabad via Islamabad on a historic journey aimed at uniting communities and raising awareness about the growing environmental challenges in the region.

This journey is not just about crossing borders; it’s a message of peace and unity across the Kashmir region. The trophy’s passage through different distances and locations reflects CSL’s mission of using sports as a platform to promote social harmony and environmental responsibility.

This initiative underscores the league’s vision to not only be about sports but also to become an institution committed to sustainable and effective action on climate change and environmental preservation.

Special Thanks to Dubai and UAE – CSL Supports UAE’s Zero Carbon Mission

With CSL’s growing impact as an institution, last year, the league launched an awareness campaign on climate change. The league planted 21 trees and collaborated with COP28 to educate people on the effects of climate change.

This year, CSL is continuing its environmental efforts by collaborating with government institutions in the UAE to raise awareness and take action to address climate change.

These efforts include tree planting, reducing plastic bag usage, and other initiatives to combat environmental challenges.

“We take pride in supporting the UAE’s Zero Carbon mission,” said Raja Asad Khalid. “To further this cause, we are organizing a special beach cricket tournament. This tournament will not only feature matches but also include activities for beach cleaning, raising awareness about the dangers of plastic bags, and promoting ocean conservation.”

Environmental Awareness and Tree Planting Initiatives

A key feature of CSL’s plans this season is a special beach cricket tournament that will be organized to clean the oceans and raise awareness about the risks of environmental pollution. This tournament is part of CSL’s broader environmental campaign, which also includes ongoing tree planting efforts. Last year, CSL planted 21 trees, and this year, the league is expanding its efforts, with plans to plant 32 trees in various regions of Kashmir. The goal is to emphasize environmental sustainability, especially by promoting responsible actions such as reducing plastic use and reforesting.

Key Statements from Sponsors

Sardar Sajid Iqbal Abbasi (Main Sponsor): “I am incredibly proud to support Chinar Super League, which has become an important platform. When we started this journey, we never imagined it would have such a grand vision. Today, this league has become a symbol of unity for Kashmiris and is also bringing attention to environmental change. We are committed to planting 1,000 trees around rivers in Kashmir to help mitigate flooding and support environmental protection.”

Raja Muhammad Khan (CEO RMK Industries): “We have been supporting CSL since 2018 last Six Seasons, and it has been successful event, we committed to support CSL now and in the upcoming future”.

Sardar Ayaz (Owner, Silver City):”The mission that Raja Asad has begun with Chinar Super League is commendable. When I visited last year, I saw the positive impact of his efforts. We are fully aligned with CSL and Raja Asad’s environmental change and preservation mission. We are also starting a tree planting campaign in our area, Silver City.”

Osama Aftab Jabar (CEO, Alif Investment): “We are grateful to be part of Chinar Super League and support Raja Asad’s mission. His vision aligns with our goals, and we look forward to formalizing our partnership to turn this vision into reality.”

Asad Hashmi (CEO, Smart Creation Business Center): *”Raja Asad’s vision inspires us, especially since I am from Kashmir myself. We are determined to support his tree planting campaign, which is essential for the local community’s benefit and a greener future. We are also committed to reducing the impact of climate change in the UAE.”

Beach Cricket Campaign

Among this year’s CSL initiatives is the special “Chinar Beach Cricket” event, which will take place on a beautiful beach where the league intends to raise awareness about environmental pollution and its long-term effects on the region. Raja Asad Khalid emphasized that these symbolic events not only promote healthy competition but also increase public participation in sustainability efforts.

As part of the ongoing journey of the CSL trophy, officials have modified the travel plans. The trophy will now travel from Dubai → Delhi → Srinagar → Delhi → Dubai and then continue to Dubai → Islamabad → Muzaffarabad → Islamabad → Dubai.

Additionally, Raja Asad Khalid revealed that the official song for Chinar Super League’s seventh season will be released during the upcoming launch event, adding excitement to the event and further highlighting the league’s growing presence.

Chinar Super League’s Commitment to Become a Positive Force Beyond Sports

Chinar Super League is working to become a significant institution that extends its influence beyond the playing field. With strong partnerships, a focus on environmental issues, and an expanding presence in Kashmir, CSL is striving to become a major force in promoting community, culture, and sustainability.

Special Thanks to the Sponsors and Supporters

We extend our heartfelt thanks to all our sponsors, organizers, and volunteers who have contributed to the success of Chinar Super League. Without your support, turning this mission of unity, sustainability, and sports development into reality would not have been possible. Together, we are building a legacy that will serve as an inspiration for future generations.
