Civil defense teams bring blaze under control; no casualties reported in emirate’s key petroleum zone.
FUJAIRAH, United Arab Emirates – A fire broke out at the Fujairah Oil Industry Zone on Tuesday following a drone attack, according to an official statement from the emirate’s media office.
Authorities confirmed that civil defense crews were dispatched to the scene and have successfully brought the blaze under control. The statement emphasized that there have been no reported injuries resulting from the incident.
The attack targeted one of the world’s major bunkering hubs and storage centers, located outside the Strait of Hormuz. While the extent of the damage has not been disclosed, emergency response teams are currently working to secure the site and cool the affected areas.
Security and investigative authorities have launched a probe into the source of the attack. The Fujairah Oil Industry Zone is critical to global energy supplies, housing storage facilities capable of holding millions of barrels of crude oil.
