Upcoming drama marks ‘Kankar’ actor’s TV comeback after nine years
Renowned Pakistani actor Fahad Mustafa has taken to Instagram to share an exciting teaser for his much-anticipated return to television with the drama Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum. Sharing the screen with none other than Hania Aamir, this will be the actor’s first drama series since Dusri Biwi in 2015.
In his Instagram post, Fahad wrote, “Have you heard of the phrase, opposites attract? Sharjeena – A bibliophile, a topper, and an entirely sorted girl. Whereas, Mustafa is a laid-back, video game enthusiast who doesn’t take life seriously. Watch the all-new drama serial, Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum to find out how they find harmony in chaos.”
Since then, the versatile actor has predominantly graced TV shows and taken on roles as a producer. While the duo has never shared the screen before, Hania appeared as the lead in the widely acclaimed 2022 series Mujhe Pyaar Hua Tha, co-produced by Fahad.
Written by Farhat Ishtiaq, the upcoming series is directed by Badar Mehmood and promises a blend of romance and drama. The teaser, shared with his millions of followers, opens with a heartwarming scene of the two characters sharing a cup of tea. The montage then shifts to Hania’s character, Sharjeena, engrossed in a book, juxtaposed with Mustafa’s character, playing a video game on his phone.
The dynamic between the two characters unfolds through various shots showing them in animated conversations, dancing together, and even sharing an emotional moment. In one poignant scene, Mustafa’s character confesses, “You’re perfect and I don’t deserve you,” hinting at the emotional depth and complexities that viewers can expect from the show.
Fahad previously hinted at his return during an appearance on Shoaib Akhtar’s talk show last year. During the interview, he expressed admiration for Hania, lauding her talent and potential. On the topic of their collaboration, Fahad teased, “We are doing something together. I don’t kiss and tell. Once it’s done and out, then we can talk about it. But yes, we are about to do something.”
