If you’re planning to travel to India during the upcoming Eid AL Fitr festival and are concerned about the cost of airfare, worry no more. Air ticket prices have dropped significantly, and fares start at just Dirham 309 from the UAE to India, making it easier for you to go home to your loved ones and celebrate Eid with them.

According to popular ticketing websites, airfares from the UAE to India have decreased dramatically, with tickets for the same flights costing double or triple the current price just a month ago.

Ali Saadat, who frequently checks airfare rates, noted that the cost of a flight from Dubai to Mangalore was around Dirham 950 on April 17. However, the same flight now costs about Dirham 386 on MakeMyTrip.com

Athar Naqvi, who booked his ticket to Mangalore, paid almost three times the current price and now regrets booking it so early. “I thought airfare would rise as the holiday approached, so I booked my ticket well in advance on March 2. However, I now see that the price has dropped by almost a third to my destination,” he said.

Various destinations’ prices for direct flights from April 17 to April 20 are available on air ticketing websites. It’s the perfect opportunity to book your flight and take advantage of the reduced prices to plan your trip home to India for the Eid festivities.

However, travel agents believe that the prices may vary and may shoot up for these dates in the coming days. Still there is a bit of confusion about the Eid holiday announcement. Last year there was a limitation to travel but people are willing to go to India. Most of the residents have got packages for vacation and some of them want to go home for an Eid celebration with family. This may be one of the reasons for dip in air fare.
