A respected mentor in homoeopathy, Dr. Bashir Ahmad Malik, who has been practicing Homoeopathy since 1983, is a strong proponent of redesigning the methodology of diagnosis and prescribing by remaining within scientific boundaries of applied molecular biology and biochemical engineering as encompassed by applied version of science-based homoeopathy.

Inside Dubai’s Sustainable City community: What makes it different

Dr. Bashir Ahmad Malik is a sporadic homoeopathic practitioner, established author, who has a wonderful track record of treating thousands of patients suffering from acute and chronic diseases with homoeopathy during his illustrious career spanning more than four decades.

Based in Lahore, Pakistan, Dr. Bashir Ahmad Malik’s influence has been felt not only in the country, but around the world as well. He has received numerous acclaims for his unparalleled contributions to the field of homoeopathy, treatment of patients and homoeopathy education.

With focused academic and working field experience in Homoeopathy, Dr. Bashir Ahmad Malik is the first Pakistani homoeopath who has been awarded MF Hom. London (Member of Faculty of Homoeopathy, London), a Fellow of BFS, an ex-member of LIGA, Vienna, Austria, and a registered Homoeopathic Practitioner with the National Council for Homoeopathy, Pakistan, and is licensed by Punjab Healthcare Commission.

In an exclusive interview with www.dubainews.tv, the octogenarian homoeopath Dr. Bashir Ahmad Malik provided a sneak-peak into his life-long journey accomplishments in the field of homoeopathy, its importance in the modern medicine, healthy living in the society and his penchant to serve the humanity.

Here are the excerpts of the interview;

Dubainews.tv: How has time changed for Homoeopathic practitioners?

Dr. Bashir Malik: The current innovative approach to applied version of science-based homeopathy is an endeavour to transform Hahnemannian primitive-era homoeopathy into atomic-era homoeopathy. Starting from 1983 to 2004, round the clock involvement in a variety of clinical cases and sufferings of patients, e.g. genetic anomalies and irreversible ailments, I were convinced for a need to modify approach in protocol of medicament due to diversified therapeutic stability of structure in the human body. It took me about 14 years to put the ultimate treatise to display.

Almost any and every homoeopathic doctor of the current scientific era has more or less accepted and adopted rather blended themselves into allopathic design/layout of art of writing an article, a book or a scientific research essay. There have been monumental researches/works and scientific controversial debates. There are avenues where most modern technologies have been applied with brilliant results and informative scientific postulations like in medical physics/nanotechnology, NMRS, spectroscopic analysis, electron microscope and a variety of scanning techniques. There is no end to the research. Similarly, there is no end to scientific books on subjects like Physiology, Pathology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, etc.

The global concept of homoeopathic mode of treatment is that it is a herbal medicine to treat hay fever and a variety of allergies and nothing beyond that. The word classical homoeopathy has engrafted an impact on sceptic minds and nonbelievers in homoeopathy that it is mostly placebo effect and/or a myth. The classical prescription literally represents every skillful art prescribing a science-based homoeopathic medicine with all the understanding of retrograde biochemical/biological/morphological sub-cellular functions.

The concept of resolving irreversible diseases or genetic anomalies does not cross the mind of skeptics. As a homoeopath, you would continue to fight skepticism. Homoeopathy is a victim of the skepticism globally.

In order to address the scientific ambiguity, a broad spectrum, postulative debate is portrayed with a hope that it may help intelligentsia to envisage the link between latent functions at subcellular and molecular levels in aqueous entity of human physiology from homoeopathic aspect.

Dubaines.tv: What do you feel is the most gratifying for you as a professional – medical practice, teaching, writing or research? Or; what has been/will be your most gratifying achievement as a homoeopath?

Dr. Bashir Malik: I would like to share that I have very successfully followed since 1983 my practice in Lahore, Pakistan. I have taken up long desired explanations into an innovative view of science-based homoeopathy in view of quanta of sun light ray energy transformation. Energy-Mass-Energy transformational scenario portrayed per Hahnemann’s Aphorism 10 and 11.

My work proffers a response to the skeptics of homoeopathy who either don’t believe it or consider it to be a non-scientific enterprise in their reckoning to the extent of declaring it a “debunk science”. The wealth of real life data based on clinical practice spanned over 40 years in conjunction with purely scientific explanation is a food for thought for the non-believers and critics of homeopathy alike and an evidence for the devotees of Homoeopathy in support of their cause, as academic literature on the subject is scarce. I hope to challenge the thought process of the “pretended devotees” by offering a detailed picture of applied version of analytical science-based Homoeopathy, to the mutual benefit of patients and academics.

I genuinely feel blessed to have found my path in homoeopathic medicine. Effectively helping others as a Homoeopath and doing what I love is what I feel most proud of.  There is a unique sense of deep appreciation when a condition finds its cure. The most wonderful moments are when I hear from a patient “I want to tell you… I am much, much better now. Thank you.” My numerous hours of deep analysis into various avenues presented in molecular biology of the gene, repertorizing and researching are behind, and the patient sitting in front of me with a warm look and happy smile! Especially, if in the beginning there were so many problems that it took a great deal of analysis of problem/s presented by the patient from various aspects to enable me to conclude my line of action.

I have observed patients getting healthier, stronger and cured when they were told they would have to live with a disease or on medication for the rest of their lives. All of these events have been rewarding. My own experiences, with so many successful cures in incurables within the homoeopathic literature fill me with a deep sense of achievement and relief provided to ailing huminity as a part of unique healing art homoeopathically from my conceptual frame of working.

Dubainews.tv: What are your plans for contribution to the development of homoeopathy, how far have you been able to achieve them?

Dr. Bashir Malik: In this part of Asia, the homoeopathic practitioners have to their credit monumental achievements in treating chronic incurables and irreversible disease inclusive of genetic anomalies. The purpose of my current treatise is to enlighten their monumental work by portraying how homoeopathic medicine works at subcellular level in human body biologically, biochemically and from bioregenerative engineering point of view.

I would suggest my learned colleagues to upgrade their application of biological sciences from homoeopathic point of view. The Molecular Biology of the Gene, 3rd edition, by James D. Watson, published by W. A. Benjamen, published in 1977 is my favorite. This monumental work and others, suggested along with it, may be the perfect prerequisite for professionals and practicing homoeopathicians to envisage applied version of scientific homoeopathy.

This is a suggestion to my learned colleagues based upon our (the homoeopathicians) inadequacy till now to be able to portray science-based mechanics of working of homoeopathic medicine and the most controversial dilemma of what is homoeopathic potency. I prefer the 3rd edition over the 7th edition, as it is fully descriptive of the prerequisite scientific foundations. This guides the learned practicing homoeopathicians in the direction of biological functions at subcellular level in the retrograde morphology of human body.

A scientific ambiguity appears to have arisen in the minds of readers with Physics and Chemistry background, so as to how quantum theory is applicable in homoeopathy. Therefore, it is obligatory for the Author to resolve the ambiguity. The education in these high-tech areas is a specialized field. When we talk of general Physics/Nuclear Physics and Chemistry, the mind automatically drifts into the direction of electron, proton and neutron, fission, diffusion and the quantum physics.

Generally, personnel trained in specialized fields have their minds focused in that direction, not that they are unidirectional! They are not prepared to budge an inch outside the sphere of their field of specialty. In the medical avenues relating to dynamic equilibrium in neurobiology, molecular biology, medical physics, biochemistry, bioengineering and principles of bioregenerative engineering and homoeostasis regulatory mechanics are all quantum related to a foolproof dynamic equilibrium. Some reservations have been expressed in the book “Quantum Mechanics of Homoeopathy” regarding peer reviewers and their incompetency in technical scrutiny of science-based multidirectional application of homoeopathy.

Dubainews.tv: Homoeopaths in general do not tell disclose the name of the medicines that has been given? Is it justifiable? It is not universally accepted. Many patients with history of believing in contemporary medicine undermine it and say ‘homoeopaths just boast and do little.’ Comment.

Dr. Bashir Malik: Homoeopathic science emerged out of controversies, and even after two and a half centuries of its existence, the controversies remain unresolved and the mechanics of working of homoeopathic remedy not clearly understood scientifically. Homoeopathy is a highly intricate science, generally misconstrued or misconceived by public that it is not harmful. In a way it is good not to mention the name of medicine to keep people safe who start using medicine straight away after just hearing the name and the relief achieved by use of that particular medicine.

They do not know the biological intrecacies and related avenues of effects in the subcellular functioning. Those curious people can endanger their or other’s lives with experimental usage of any homoeopathic medicine. At this juncture, I would like to share comments of Dr. James Tyler Kent for the use of homoeopathic medicine suggested by a nonhomoeopathic practitioner. “Kali carb seems to be a dreadful medicine to handle; it is a sharp and a two-edged sword.” & “Do not give that constitutional medicine that should have been administered to these patients twenty years ago, because there is not reaction enough in the life of the patient to turn him into order, and he will be destroyed”.

So, it is always good to not let the patient know the name of the medicine. It is precautionary statement, but would the inquisitive public be prepared to understand the precautions and follow?

Dubainews.tv: Discussing mental health issue is a taboo in Pakistan. Observation tells, a lot of patients are either fanatic/anarchist or sociopath/narcissist/schizophrenic before their presenting complaints. How to tackle these types of issues?

Dr. Bashir Malik: According to the World Health Organization (WHO), mental disorders account for 14 percent of the world’s illnesses. Yet there is still a lot of misunderstanding about mental disorders and as a result, sufferers may be dismissed, ignored or even blamed for their illness. The mental illness issue has surfaced more vigorously in the post-COVID era. The stigma surrounding mental health often leads young people to shy away from seeking the help and support they need, leaving them to face discrimination and exclusion.

For many, talking about mental health and having the courage to ask for support can prove incredibly beneficial, which is why de-stigmatizing the subject is so important. Left ignored and untreated, these conditions can result in adverse effects that last a lifetime.

Mental health issues are complex and often completely misunderstood, with this lack of awareness and understanding often compounded further by the paucity of assistance available. Changing this state of affairs will require a concerted effort but must be done.

From a homoeopathic point of view, the prevailing mental disorders in our society are not simply the result of living in a fast-paced, stressful society.

The perspective, thus generated, leads to the first prescription which is never based on title of ailment or etiological approach, these have no bearing or role or effect in whole scenario. Other than totality of symptoms with stress on mental symptoms, mine lies mostly on CAUSATION.

Dubainews.tv: Your view as to how can the Pakistan Government patronize homoeopathy?

Dr. Bashir Malik: I strongly believe if homeopathy is to have mainstream acceptance, it should teach concepts and theory of quantum mechanics focus on human physiology and advance levels of biophysical patterns and biochemistry to next generation of students.

I would highly recommend that curriculum for homeopathy medicine should contain my book “Quantum Mechanics of Homeopathy” right from the beginning along with Energy and Equilibrium Physical Chemistry to all students. This will certainly strengthen intellectual as well as professional skills of all future students of Homeopathy which is misconceived in general public.

Dubainews.tv: Suggestion for a novice Homoeopath without much financial background. How to start his/her clinical practice?

Dr. Bashir Malik: The homeopath has to have the passion for homoeopathy and that passion and devotion to the profession and work will attract the people without any financial background.

Dubainews.tv: When you think you learned one medicine completely?

Dr. Bashir Malik: I would highly recommend that curriculum for homeopathy medicine should contain my book “Quantum Mechanics of Homeopathy” right from the beginning along with Energy and Equilibrium Physical Chemistry to all students, if it is not being taught already.

This will certainly strengthen intellectual as well as professional skills of all future students of Homeopathy which is misconstrued or misconceived in general public. As a student of science, I believe that human brain activity is an infinite act as long as you live with a grown-up mind.
