‘I am heading to UK for first time next year, and if time allows, I would love to come to Pakistan to perform’
Indian Punjabi rapper and musician Yo Yo Honey Singh has expressed his wish to perform in Pakistan, saying he hopes to entertain his fans across the border soon.
During the 2024 IIFA Awards in Abu Dhabi, Singh was asked about his Pakistani fanbase on the red carpet. In a viral video on social media, Singh shared his message for his Pakistani fans: “Pray that I get to perform in Pakistan soon.”
Singh also spoke about his admiration for several Pakistani artists. “I love Mehdi Hassan, Ghulam Ali, Ali Azmat, Atif Aslam, Sanam Marvi, and many others,” he said.
He mentioned that he has been performing in Dubai for the past 12 years, where many Pakistani fans attend his concerts. However, he acknowledged that fans in Pakistan, who cannot travel to Dubai, are eager to see him perform in their country.
Confirming his upcoming tour, Singh revealed, “I am heading to the UK for the first time next year, and if time allows, I would love to come to Pakistan to perform.”
Earlier this month, Honey Singh also spoke about his spiritual journey, revealing how he explored Islamic teachings through Sufi scholars and spiritual leaders in Mohali, Punjab, in 2007. Singh shared that this experience deepened his understanding of Islam and influenced his views on faith.
Reflecting on his past, Singh admitted that after achieving fame in 2012, he lost his way but has since returned to a more grounded belief in God following his recovery from illness in 2018.
