Light rain raises chances of dip in temperature, more rain in UAE on Tuesday

Light to moderate precipitation and gusty winds developed in the eastern parts as a consequence of the country being impacted by the prevailing meteorological conditions, which are anticipated to persist until next Thursday, the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) reported.
“This is due to the influence of the tropical convergence zone (ITCZ), which is extending towards the country and moving southwards, accompanied by the development of surface depressions in the southern and eastern regions, and the subsequent movement of clouds towards the country,” NCM added.
“Light to moderate precipitation fell in Al Ain, Abu Dhabi, and other locations,” NCM said, noting that the lowest temperature recorded in the country on Monday was 19.7°C in Jebel Jais, Ras Al Khaimah, at 06:45 am.
The Abu Dhabi Police urge drivers to exercise caution in light of the current weather conditions, which have resulted in the implementation of variable speed limits as indicated on electronic signage.
The Tuesday’s weather is expected to be cloudy, with occasional dust storms, and the potential for precipitation in some areas, particularly in the eastern and southern areas.
Additionally, a decline in temperatures is anticipated, accompanied by southeasterly to northwesterly winds, ranging from light to moderate in speed and occasionally active, which may stir dust. The sea is expected to be light to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
The weather on Wednesday will be partly cloudy and occasionally dusty, with the potential for the formation of cumulus clouds in some eastern and southern areas in the afternoon. Temperatures will gradually rise, and winds will be southeasterly to northeasterly, light to moderate speed, and occasionally active, causing dust. Sea conditions will be light to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and in the Sea of Oman.
The Thursday’s weather is expected to be partly cloudy and occasionally dusty. There is a possibility of cumulus clouds forming in the eastern and southern areas in the afternoon.
Winds are expected to be southeasterly to northwesterly, with speeds ranging from light to moderate, and may be gusty and dust-laden, reaching speeds of 10 to 40 km/h. The sea is expected to be light to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
The weather on Friday will be partially cloudy with occasional dust storms. In the morning, low-lying clouds are expected to form along the east coast, with the potential for the development of cumulus clouds in some eastern and southern areas during the afternoon.
Winds are expected to be southeasterly to north-easterly, with speeds ranging from light to moderate, and occasionally gusty, reaching speeds of 10 to 40 km/h. The sea is expected to see light to moderate waves in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
