Pakistani actress Mawra Hocane’s 2016 Indian film Sanam Teri Kasam has been re-released and made an impressive impact, breaking its original opening-day record.

Directed by Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru, Sanam Teri Kasam features Mawra Hocane alongside actor Harshvardhan Rane. The film, which originally debuted in 2016, has been performing well at the box office since its Friday re-release, buoyed by strong advance ticket sales.
According to Indian entertainment website Koimoi, before its release in cinemas, the film sold 88,000 tickets worth 1.55 crore Indian Rupees. This number already surpasses the film’s opening-day collection in 2016, where it earned 1 crore INR on its first day.
The film’s total presale on BMS (BookMyShow) was registered at 111,000 tickets, which is approximately 168% more than the advance ticket sales for the 2025 re-release of Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani.
Prior to its re-release, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani sold 41,052 tickets on BMS. The film, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone, went on to gross approximately 19 crore INR at the box office, making it one of the highest-grossing re-released films.
Mawra Hocane recently tied the knot with her fellow actor Ameer Gilani on Thursday. The wedding shoot took place at Lahore’s iconic fort, and the couple, who have worked together on popular Pakistani dramas Sibat and Neim, have been seen together for a considerable time.
