Dubai: Season 27 of Global Village starts from today, and if you are someone who enjoys visiting the attraction every year, there are new details that have been announced by the organisers, including cheaper ticket prices.

In an announcement on August 26, Global Village shared details of the new ticket plans as well as other attractions that will be introduced. So, whether you are a Global Village veteran or are planning to visit it for the first time, here is all you need to know about the upcoming season.

Apart from the new ticket plans, on Monday, Global Village introduced the Season 27 VIP packs, which will be available online from September 24 on the Virgin Megastore Tickets website tickets.virginmegastore.me .

When does Global Village open?

This year will be the 27th season of Global Village, which opens its doors to visitors during the cooler months of the year. The season will start from October 25, 2022.

On September 1, Global Village announced a new attraction – the ‘Global Village Big Balloon’, which is a helium balloon ride, which can accomodate up to 20 people at a time.

In time for Halloween, Dubai’s Global Village will also feature ‘House of Fear.’

According to the organisers, House of Fear will be the scariest haunted house experience in the region featuring a team of actors across nine different experiences.

Diggers Lab

Another new attraction this season will be the ‘Diggers Lab’, where children, young and old, can put on a construction hat to enjoy fun, edutainment activities.

Wrist-cameras

If you are a thrill seeker, you will now be able to watch yourself enjoying the adrenaline through a new video recording feature on three high-octane rides at Global Village.

Also, a new gate – Happiness Gate – will be opening at the venue, making the total number of entrances to three.

This year, people will also have the option to rent out exclusive Cabanas, for groups of up to eight people.

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) also announced that it will begin operating the electric abra (traditional boat) for visitors at Global Village for the upcoming season.

What is the new ticket plan?

As per the announcement, visitors can now get a ‘value’ ticket, valid from Sunday to Thursday – excluding public holidays. The other option is for ‘any day’ tickets, which can be used on any day, including on public holidays. Whichever ticket you purchase, if you buy it online, through the smartphone application ‘Global Village’, which is available for Apple and Android devices, as well as the website – globalvillage.ae, you will get a 10 per cent discount.

Entry ticket prices start from Dh18.

What is included in the VIP packs?

The packs include VIP entry tickets, VIP parking privileges and VIP Wonder Passes which gives access to Global Village attractions including Ripley’s Believe it or Not!, the Aqua Action stunt show and the Carnaval funfair.

Vouchers for VIP guests

Diamond Pack holders will also receive vouchers for in-park taxi transportation, car wash and porter services.

Also, Global Village VIP guests will get offers and privileges from public attractions in Dubai, including: Burj Al Arab, Sea Breeze at JBR, Roxy Cinemas, The Green Planet, Laguna Water Park, as well as Dubai Parks and Resorts.

How can I get to Global Village?

Global Village is easy to spot, located on the Mohamed Bin Zayed Road (E311) between the Arabian Ranches residential development and the IMG Worlds of Adventure theme park. The highway gives clear directions towards the parking lot for Global Village, regardless of the direction you are travelling on.

Public transport

On October 20, RTA announced that the following bus routes to Global Village will be resumed for the 27th season:
