The metropolitan city of Lahore is set to welcome Punjab’s tallest building, the Sirius Tower, which is expected to attract both foreign and domestic investment to Pakistan’s second most populous city.
As the part of the Central Business District (CBD) development — a multi-billion-dollar project being developed in three phases — the Sirius Tower, also known as the “Sirius of Punjab,” will soar 750 feet (228.6 meters) above the city’s skyline. In addition to the Sirius Tower, the CBD will include a Digital Valley and a Commercial & Residential District, which will provide significant opportunities for high-rise buildings dedicated to both commercial and residential purposes.
Talking to The Khaleej Times at the International Property Show in Dubai, Mansoor Janjua, the Chief Operating Officer of the CBD Punjab, said that the Sirius Tower and other mixed-use commercial buildings like it have the potential to be game-changers for the province’s economic development. “Such buildings are not only beneficial for businesses, but for all walks of life,” Mansoor Janjua emphasized.
Janjua also highlighted the Sirius Tower has the potential to create new job opportunities and promote sustainable growth in the region. “To achieve these goals, the project will work on a Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) or Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model to attract both foreign and domestic investment.”
Overall, the development of the Sirius Tower and the CBD project as a whole is set to reshape the future of Lahore and contribute significantly to the growth and prosperity of the wider region.
A mixed-use development
The ambitious Sirius project is set to become one of the most attractive real estate investments in Pakistan, with its high value Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) and prime location on a 24-kanal site. The multi-use development, which is currently in the design stage, is expected to take five years to complete and will be ready for occupancy in 2028.
Mohammed Omer, Executive Director of Commercial at CBD Punjab, said, “This landmark development will transform Lahore’s skyline and contribute significantly to the economic growth of the wider Punjab region. The Sirius project aims to become a vibrant city centre, offering a variety of spaces for residential, commercial, and leisure activities to its residents.”
Mohammed Omer said that the development of Sirius is a prime example of how the REIT or Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model can be used to attract both foreign and domestic investment to support the economic momentum of the region. “The CBD Punjab team is dedicated to creating an iconic landmark that will transform the skyline of Lahore and contribute significantly to the growth of Punjab’s economy.”
Located in the heart of Punjab, Sirius is designed to be an architectural marvel and a symbol of Pakistan’s ambition to reach for the sky. With its modern design, strategic location, and international-level amenities, the project aims to provide opportunities for luxury living, business, and investment in the region.
Overall, the Sirius project promises to be a game-changer for Lahore’s skyline, providing a new realm of possibilities for citizens and investors alike, and contributing significantly to the economic development of Punjab.
