ARIES (March 21 – April 20):

You may be unhappy that you did not achieve every one of your goals over the past 12 months but you will soon make up for it. You do, however, need to be sensible and set yourself targets that are within reach. It’s not Mission Impossible.

TAURUS (April 21 – May 21):

Communicating with friends and relatives could get a little tricky this weekend, not least because as Pluto begins its retrograde phase even simple events may seem a bit confusing. Don’t be ashamed to admit you have no idea what’s going on.

GEMINI (May 22 – June 21):

The fact that you have doubts about a proposed work or business deal should be enough to hold you back from signing up immediately. If your sixth sense warns that you need to do some checking first you would be wise to take that advice.

CANCER (June 22 – July 23):

Something you have been dreaming about for years will move closer to reality this weekend. However, there is also a danger that other people’s poor judgment and decision-making could set back your plans for a while, so don’t expect too much too soon.

LEO (July 24 – Aug. 23):

You can, if you wish, cut yourself off from all outside influences over the next 48 hours but it won’t protect you from the consequences of other people’s mistakes. Your best course of action by far is to get involved and set the agenda yourself.

VIRGO (Aug. 24 – Sept. 23):

You need to be aware that what you say and do this weekend will be taken by friends and colleagues very seriously, even if you have given them plenty of clues that you are just having a bit of fun. Some people have no sense of humour.

LIBRA (Sept. 24 – Oct. 23):

Try not to let your imagination get out of hand this weekend, because once you see monsters under the bed you will start seeing them everywhere. Despite what your fears may be telling you no one is out to get you. And besides, monsters don’t exist.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24 – Nov. 22):

You may be of the opinion that variety is the spice of life but some people will take the opposite view this weekend and try to restrict you to tackling one aim at a time. This is a battle of wills you can and must win.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 23 – Dec. 21):

Be careful what you sign up for over the next 48 hours because the planets warn it might not be as much fun as you thought it would be. Also, as Pluto, your ruler, begins its retrograde phase family matters must come first every time.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22 – Jan. 20):

The fact that partners and colleagues are so difficult to deal with at the moment will encourage you to put some distance between you and do your own thing. The simple fact is you don’t need them half as much as they need you.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 21 – Feb. 19):

You may be inclined to deal with a project that has gone wrong more than it has gone right by scrapping it completely and starting again from scratch but that would be a mistake. It may be frustrating but it can also be a valuable learning experience.

PISCES (Feb. 20 – Mar. 20):

You have been playing a role you don’t feel entirely comfortable with for quite some time and now you must have the courage to step away from it and away from people who benefit from your discomfort. Be ruthless, with them and with yourself.
