Actor took to IG with throwback post
In a nostalgic Instagram post, actor Fahad Mustafa took a trip down memory lane to his role as a cop in Nabeel Qureshi’s 2022 film Quaid e Azam Zindabad. Sharing a still from the movie where he portrayed a determined law enforcer, Fahad penned a heartfelt caption that went beyond mere acting.
“Playing a cop wasn’t just acting – It was about embodying honour and duty. Grateful for the life-changing experience in Quaid e Azam Zindabad,” Fahad expressed in the caption of his post, indicating the depth of his connection to the character and the thematic resonance of the film. With Mahira Khan playing the lead next to Fahad, the film marked the first time the two celebs starred opposite each other on the silver screen.
Quaid e Azam Zindabad finds Fahad in the shoes of Inspector Gulab, juggling his crime-fighting duties with his secret life of bribery in Karachi. However, a chance encounter with Mahira’s character Jia, an animal rights activist, turns his life upside down. As Gulab tries to win her affection by aiding her cause, Jinnah’s image mysteriously disappears from currency notes, leading him on a journey of redemption and love.
In December, it was revealed that the small screen will be welcoming the Jeeto Pakistan host in a spectacular comeback in the upcoming series Teri Meri Kahani. Sharing the screen with none other than Hania Aamir, this will be the actor’s first drama series since Dusri Biwi in 2015.
While the duo has never shared the screen before, Hania appeared as the lead in the widely acclaimed 2022 series Mujhe Pyaar Hua Tha, co-produced by Fahad. The announcement, which sent ripples of anticipation through fans, was made by Farhat Ishtiaq, the creative force behind iconic dramas like Humsafar and Bin Roye. Ishtiaq took to her official Instagram handle with a post revealing this upcoming collaboration.
While the official confirmation comes via Ishtiaq’s announcement, Fahad previously hinted at his return during a recent appearance on Shoaib Akhtar’s talk show. During the interview, he expressed admiration for Hania, lauding her talent and potential. On the topic of their collaboration, Fahad teased, “We are doing something together. I don’t kiss and tell. Once it’s done and out, then we can talk about it. But yes, we are about to do something.”
