Sultan clears 364 scholarships at Khorfakkan and Kalba varsities for Spring 2024

His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member, Ruler of Sharjah, and President of the University of Khorfakkan and University of Kalba, approved 364 scholarships at the University of Khorfakkan and University of Kalba for Spring 2024.
The scholarships for University of Khorfakkan students include 28 for master’s programmes and 85 for various bachelor’s programmes. In contrast, University of Kalba has 251 bachelor’s programmes.
Poets honoured

Also on Tuesday Sheikh Sultan honoured the poets who won the “Qawafi Award 2023,” at Dr Sultan Al Qasimi Centre.
Sheikh Sultan congratulated the 12 winners, wishing them a prosperous path towards creativity and writing.
He announced sponsoring and supporting the award to continue over the coming years, calling on poets to keep on writing poems, as the expenses of printing, publishing, and distribution will be covered by Sharjah.
The Sharjah Ruler honoured the winning poets, after which each recited his winning poem.
The ceremony was attended by Abdullah Bin Mohammed Al Owais, Chairman of the Sharjah Department of Culture; Mohammed Obaid Al Zaabi, Head of the Sharjah Protocol Department; and Ali Al Marri, Head of Dr. Sultan Al Qasimi Centre.
